Ow. Get The Facts

Jojoba ('Hohoba')

Background Information:
Its oil was used by the Native Americans to heal wounds and sores. Today, it is most primarily used as a cosmetic product particularly for hair and skin.
It has antimicrobial properties, which prevents the growth of some bacterial and fungal microbes that harm the skin. The chemical composition of the jojoba resembles like the skin's sebum (natural oil) and so it is easily absorbed by the skin causing no allergic reactions even to sensitive skin.
The jojoba oil is composed of wax esters. The body's sebum is composed of wax esters as well, which acts as a natural moisturizer and barrier for the skin. However, wax esters decreases with age, causing skin to appear dull and wrinkly, leading to dandruff.
On the other hand, jojoba oil reduces acne. It prevents the skin from becoming too oily since its composition resembles like the skin's sebum, it causes the skin to produce less of its natural sebum, which reduces clog pores.
Jojoba oil contains many important nutrients such as vitamin E, B complex vitamins, and the minerals silicon, chromium, copper, and zinc. It also contains plenty of iodine, which is the reason why it prevents microbacterial growth.

Anyways, ever since I've used Garnier's hairdyes with jojoba oil, although it smelled really strong because of the bleach, it made my hair really soft, straight, and healthy. Really effective with the conditioner included with the hairdying products. Sooooooo softtttt. Really. It's reallyyyy addictive. Then, I went out and I found this hair product, TRESemmé. They have this new organic shampoo and conditioner product. All the different types there is! They have avocado, which is really good for your skin too, kind of resembles jojoba with its oil benefits, but then I saw coconut with jojobo and I chose that because I loveeeee coconut and jojoba is awesome. The coconut and jojoba one helps smoothens your hair while the other ones have different effects.

Jojoba is my hair's best friend.
